WELCOME TO OUR 6 DEGREES

Sometimes the best connections are just a few degrees away.

 

Our 6 Degrees is a network of executive women tied together by common interests, drive, and relationships. We believe that friends — old and new — are the best sounding boards.

 

When we gather, our networks grow and our support systems strengthen. While diverse in background, experience, race, and culture, we share a goal of elevating one another — and having fun along the way.

OUR EVENTS

O6D Members participate in a variety of events, including salon dinners and social networking. In Fall 2024, we launched our first-ever O6D Fall Retreat.

Salon Dinners

Our events are purposefully designed to optimize connection and engagement. Guests share and learn from one another in a private, members-only setting. The O6D leadership focuses each dinner on a particular topic with a guest speaker.

Previous dinner topics include:

  • Female representation on corporate boards and increasing shareholder value 

  • ​How to plan for your second act

  • The science of optimizing productivity and performance

  • How to build your personal brand 

  • Impact: Using passion to inspire action 

  • How to leverage AI to optimize your work and every day 

Social Networking

These events are designed to encourage networking in a more social setting.

 

One example includes a VA winery tour for O6D members planned in conjunction with the local chapter of another women’s networking group. Another example is a wine + cheese pairing class led by a professional cheese monger who honed her skills for years at top establishments in NYC. 

O6D@Retreat

​Join us as we invest in ourselves.

O6D@Retreat is a chance to step away from the noise and take care of ourselves.
We spend time connecting with each other, moving our bodies, clearing our heads, and catching our breath.

​

This retreat is a chance to rest, recharge, and return home feeling a little more focused, a little more grounded, and better prepared for whatever’s next—at work and in life..

Nobar and her family were one of many who moved during the pandemic—leaving Brooklyn, NY for the DC suburbs.

 

Navigating a new city, state, home, and job meant laying roots, creating community, and finding new purpose. Inspired by a similar group of which Nobar was a part during her New York days, she decided to launch a women’s network. 

 

When thinking about who to include in the group’s inaugural event, Nobar didn’t have to look far. She was surrounded by some incredibly intelligent, accomplished, fun, and driven women. Some she knew well. Others, not so much.

 

Our 6 Degrees is the idea that from one person, you can organically grow a network.

Our bi-monthly events are priced à la carte to reflect venue and dining costs, and typically range from $85–$200 — so you only pay for what you attend.​​
 

Membership is application-based to preserve the caliber and intimacy of the community.​​
